Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust (ACT) is dedicated to supporting innovation in patient care at Addenbrooke's and Rosie hospitals.
We’re lucky to have AddenbrookeÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ Charitable Trust (ACT), which raises extra money to improve care, services, and research at AddenbrookeÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ and The Rosie.
Your donations help the brilliant teams at AddenbrookeÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ develop the innovative ideas that will make our great hospital even better.
- Donations help our teams come up with new ideas and offer care beyond what the ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ can fund.
- ACT funding helps us deliver faster improvements in patient care, beyond what ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ funding alone provides.
- Donations support high-tech equipment, specialist staff, added comforts, and vital research that can save lives locally, nationally, and globally.
Any amount you can donate will help to make a difference.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, generous donations helped us raise £1 million for COVID-19 research. With this money, we were able to buy:
- iPads for patients to communicate with staff and family
- Psychological support for staff
- Fast tests for children with chest infections
- Testing of medicines to treat COVID-19
- Activity packs for children visiting A&E
Thanks to your donations, we also bought:
- A fourth incubator trolley to help save more babies
- A liver perfusion machine for testing livers before transplant
- A cone beam CT scanner for better surgery planning
- An inflatable MRI scanner to help 1,200 children each year overcome their fears, leading to better results and less need for anaesthesia.
