I am a university professor and honorary consultant paediatric oncologist, working at both the department of pathology, Cambridge University and department of paediatric haematology and oncology, ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ Foundation Trust.
My research programme studies the clinical and molecular aspects of childrenÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ tumours, in particular germ cell tumours (GCTs), and I was the first to demonstrate the utility of specific circulating microRNAs for diagnosis, disease-monitoring and detection of relapse in this disease.
I have attracted >£5.8M of grant funding to date as a principal and co-Investigator and demonstrated national and international leadership in cancer biology.
