My current role
My clinical interests are normothermic regional perfusion (NRP), normothermic machine perfusion (NMP) for livers, and complex post-transplant hernias. I am co-lead for the national Encapsulating peritoneal sclerosis (EPS) service at Cambridge.
My research interests include the viability assessment of marginal livers, DCD liver transplantation outcomes, and complex kidney/pancreas transplantation.
Previous history
I received my medical degree (MBBS, 2005) and surgical training (MS, 2010) from Calcutta University, India. After finishing basic surgical training, I trained as a Surgical Oncologist with a fellowship at Tata Medical Centre, Kolkata (2014) and a research fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre, New York. I joined AddenbrookeÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ Hospital in 2017 for a Transplant surgery fellowship and later joined as a consultant in 2021.
